Manifesting teaches that individuals can claim authority over their lives and outcomes through personal intention, thought, and declaration. It promotes the idea that human beings possess independent authority to shape reality apart from God’s will or permission. This belief directly conflicts with the biblical teaching of God’s sovereignty.
Scripture is clear that all authority belongs to God alone. Psalm 103:19 says, “The Lord has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.” There is no area of life, creation, or circumstance that exists outside of God’s rule. Manifesting, however, suggests that human will can override or bypass divine authority.
The Bible teaches that even when humans make plans, God determines the outcome. Proverbs 16:9 states, “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” Manifesting reverses this order by teaching that human intention directs the steps and reality must follow.
Jesus Himself acknowledged God’s ultimate authority. In Matthew 28:18 He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.” Authority was not seized or self-generated. It was given by God. Manifesting teaches self-assigned authority rather than authority that comes from submission to God.
When people operate as if they have authority apart from God, they place themselves in a position that Scripture warns against. Romans 13:1 says, “There is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.” Any belief system that promotes authority without God is built on deception.
Manifesting also removes accountability. If a person believes they are the final authority over outcomes, they no longer seek God’s guidance, correction, or wisdom. But biblical faith calls believers to submit every area of life to God. Proverbs 3:6 instructs, “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
True authority in Scripture always flows from obedience. Jesus demonstrated this perfectly. He said, “I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things” (John 8:28). Manifesting teaches people to act on self-authority. Jesus modeled God-dependent authority.
When authority is claimed outside of God’s control, it leads to spiritual pride and false confidence. Scripture warns, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6). Grace flows where submission exists, not where control is demanded.
Manifesting promises control, but biblical faith promises guidance, provision, and protection under God’s sovereign rule. Only one of these leads to true peace. When believers surrender authority to God instead of claiming it for themselves, they step into the safety and wisdom of His will.
