Highlights at a glance

  1. Sermon & Bible Study markers on mobile
  2. Study Assistant on Dashboard
  3. New Lookup card

1. Sermon & Bible Study markers on mobile

Now, when you study a passage on the mobile app, you can see markers showing your previous sermons or lessons on the passage. Tap on those markers, and they’ll take you to the sermon in Sermon Builder or to the Bible study in Bible Study Builder.

These markers released for desktop last year, but now they’re also available on iOS and coming soon to Android.

You put in much thought and prayer to what you study, teach, and preach. With this update, you can continue to reap the benefit of that study even if you’re in the checkout line or waiting for your kid’s soccer game to start. No matter where you are, you can revisit work you’ve created in the past and build from it—without having to rely on your memory alone.

2. Dive in to Study Assistant from your Dashboard

Logos is all about aiding your prayerful study, not replacing it but removing barriers to it. Study Assistant has been one of the most popular tools since its introduction last fall, and now you can ask your questions directly from the Dashboard on any of your devices.

For example, if you ask: What did the Church Fathers have to say about [insert topic you’re studying here], Study Assistant searches your library to bring you answers straight from your Logos resources. The citations are not only accurate but also clickable—jump straight to the source to read and confirm for yourself.

Ask follow-up questions, alter your questions to change directions, and locate previous conversations.

Give Study Assistant a try! Even if you’re not subscribed, you can preview and try it out on desktop, web, or mobile.

Open Study Assistant from the Tools menu, Factbook, or a Smart Search synopsis. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use it, including how to tell the Study Assistant to use the entire Logos catalog or restrict its scope to just those books in your library.

3. Find out what a word means in a snap

Let’s say you’re reading an older devotional book and come across an English word you don’t know (or your vocabulary needs some dusting off!). Now on mobile, you can tap the word and hold to get the info you need.

The easy-to-navigate Lookup card will show you a top dictionary entry with the Simple view. For an encyclopedia entry, choose the Detailed view. (Note: For words with Greek and Hebrew information, the existing Word Info card will show instead of the Lookup card.)
