On the recommendation by my CUP editor Beatrice Riehl, I took the A train from 42nd street, all the way to 190th street, and got off to see the famous Ft. Tryon Park heather garden and the view of the Palisades across the river in New Jersey. It’s also the locale of the Met’s Cloisters Museum, but alas it was closed on Wednesday. Here are some shots from the garden, and then the view of the Palisades, the rock cliffs by the river, not to be confused with the more massive ones at the Kentucky River near me.
The next to last picture is looking across the Hudson river to the Palisades, and also the George Washington Bridge. The last is just the Palisades across the river with the fall colors.
