Methodist Central Hall and Westminster Abbey

Methodist Central Hall and Westminster Abbey 2026-10-06T21:26:09-04:00 Ben Witherington Situated on the same square is Methodist Central Hall and Westminster Abbey. Here are a few picture of the former, and of our Methodist pilgrims who came to see all this, men and women from all over the south, mostly from the Global Methodist Church including Bishop Carolyn Moore of that church. Whereas Central Hall looks like a meeting hall not a church, there is no mistaking Westminster Abbey as we shall see. Here are our Methodists enjoying each other’s company and ready for another interesting building to see. This includes my cousins Davis and Mary Ann pictured in this shot. The two closest in this picture were both my students, and the one on the right is Bishop Moore. The lady in pink is from Turkiye, her name is Emine, and she was our local guide contact for this trip. The others in this picture are all members at Centenary Methodist in Lexington, including yours truly my wife Ann, who deserves a badge of courage by going on this trip only weeks after major surgeries– not one but two and our good friends the Doctors Jones.
