Updates at a glance

  1. Smart Bible inline search: No need to leave your reading to do a quick Smart Search.
  2. Better link previews in Factbook & Preaching Mode: Get a quick peek at a referenced verse in the midst of your work.
  3. Larger translation cards: We upped the size to prevent eye strain and increase accessibility on mobile.
  4. New tab improvements: A fresh shortcut for our most efficient Logos users.

And more!

1. Smart Bible inline search

Now you can use Smart Search from inside your open Bible. The results will appear in canonical order, and you can “Send to Search” if you’d rather read the results ranked by relevance.

So let’s say you’re reading Acts 20:35 and wonder, “What does Paul say about giving?” Enter your question in the search bar at the top of your passage and get results without having to open up a separate search.

If you’re not subscribed, you’ll get limited free previews to try it out.

2. Better link previews in Factbook & Preaching Mode on mobile

What was that passage again?

Have you ever been frustrated that tapping a Scripture passage opens a new Bible tab?

Now you can view linked passages at a glance in Factbook and Preaching Mode without distracting from your study or your sermon delivery. If you’ve been hesitant to try Preaching Mode (or to try it again), now’s a good time.

And if you want to see that passage in full context, just tap “Open.”

Who gets access to what?

  • All subscription plans get link previews in Factbook.
  • Subscribers to Pro and up get link previews in Preaching Mode.

3. Larger translation cards

See a much larger preview card for the text you’ve translated so you can view more of it at a glance. Afterward, you can move seamlessly back into your study.

Note: In addition to being available for Max subscribers, this update is also available to those who own a Logos 10 Full Feature set—this includes those who purchased Logos 10 Gold or above.

4. New tab improvement

New shortcut, unlocked!

We know our users and how much you love shortcuts! If you’re in a new tab, you can now use CMD + Click (Mac) or CTRL + Click (PC) on a hyperlink to open items in a different panel.

Sometimes these little things can make a delightful difference.

A snapshot of more updates

  • Your study sharpened by lenses: Stretching beyond just for subscribers, all users can now jump into more focused study in Factbook through the improved Factbook experience. For example, choose a lens based on how you want to study.
  • Insights gets more insightful: Find more information—even if you’re not subscribed—when you use Insights. You’ll see sections for Cross References, Biblical Connections, Parallel Passages, and People, Places, and Things.
  • Versification notification: The Bible Reference tooltip box now does a better job of showing where there’s a difference in the reference between standard English versification and verse mapping of other Bibles. This is especially helpful for Hebrew and German language scholarship, where Joel 3:1 in those languages is equivalent to Joel 2:28 in English Bibles.
