Greenville S.C. is an up and coming place, with many people moving there— too many according to various of the long time residents. There is a river that runs right through downtown Greenville, the Reedy River, that comes from springs just up the road in Traveler’s Rest S.C.
Situated just above and overlooking this river is the Grand Bohemian Lodge,
It is indeed a fancy place, something actual bohemians could never afford to stay in.
There is plenty of nightlife downtown including music in Greenville, and some interesting office buildings also built over the river.

In some restaurants downtown the Christmas decorations were still up at the end of January.
